Who We Are

We are women from all walks of life.

We are businesswomen, mothers, healthcare workers, educators, grandmothers, professionals, artists, wives, laborers and community volunteers. What we have in common is the desire to see ourselves and other women equally represented in government.

What We Do

Throughout the world, women face obstacles to their participation in politics. These barriers are found in prevailing social and economic frameworks, as well as in existing political structures.

The goal of the PWC is to increase the participation of women in every facet of civic and political life. We recruit, train, and support women candidates for public office, encourage women to seek appointments to boards and commissions, empower women to advocate on matters of policy, and work to increase the percentage of women who vote regularly.
